Atlas Paints (PTY) LTD was founded by Chris Botha in 1987 when he left Plascon to start his own venture.The company, Atlas Paints, is an existing Paint Producing Company, employing good facilities for production and sale of high quality architectural paint and coatings for private and industrial users across South Africa.The commercial manufacture of paints is simply the mixing of paint constituents in a quality controlled ratio that meet high standards and can be faithfully produced in commercial quantities. The required constituents (raw materials) are:
- Dispersion medium, water
- Binder resins
- Pigment colourants
- Fillers, calcium and kaolin
- Antifungal agents
